Waste Management and Recycling Products, Inc. (WMRP) was incorporated in 1989
as an alternative to disposing of unwanted electronics in landfills. During
our first four years of operation, we developed research relating
to our field with an
emphasis on telephone and communications equipment. By 1994, we began to
accept computers, CRTs, and related peripherals as well as other data equipment and office
machinery.
In 1995 we processed an average of
5 tons of electronic equipment per month. In 1998, we increased
our processing output to 10 tons per month and currently
average approximately 150 tons every month.
In July 2001, we moved our
disassembly division to a new 30,000 sq. ft. processing facility
located in the Scotia-Glenville Industrial Park, two minutes from the New York
State Thruway (I-90).
